This Guy Robbed A Bank Just To Get Healthcare

(Gaston County Jail)

With a undiagnosed growth on his chest and two ruptured disks, Richard James Verone needed medical attention and to get it he handed a note to a bank teller demanding $1.

Verone walked into an RBC bank in North Carolina, handed the teller the note, and she gave him the money. Then, according to the Gaston Gazette, he sat down and waited for the police to show up.

He said, “I didn’t have any fears. I told the teller that I would sit over here and wait for police.”

Never in trouble with the law, Verone worked fort Coca-Cola for 17 years, but was laid off three years ago. He's had part time jobs since, but nothing steady, and nothing with health insurance. “If you don’t have your health you don’t have anything,” said Verone. His plan includes a three year stint in prison, multiple surgeries, and then release  just in time to collect social security.

My Note: It will just keep getting worse as the assistance programs go down and unemployment stays up.

Worth Reading

Quotes from speech given by Sen. Bernard Sanders an Independent  on

·
...We have a $16 trillion national debt and we have a $1 trillion deficit. I think all Americans understand this is a very important issue, and it is something we as a nation are going to have to grapple with...
...Now, what do my Republican friends and some Democrats say? Well, they come to the Senate floor and suddenly--after going to war without paying for it, after giving huge tax breaks to the rich, after deregulating Wall Street--realize we have a deficit problem, and they are very concerned about this deficit problem. They come to the Senate floor and say: The only way we can go forward is to cut Social Security. Social Security is funded independently. It hasn't added one nickel to the deficit, but we are going to cut Social Security anyway. We are going to cut Medicare, we are going to cut Medicaid, we are going to cut Pell grants, we are going to cut education, and we are going to cut environmental protection. That is deficit reduction.
Are we going to ask millionaires and billionaires, who are doing phenomenally well, whose effective tax rate is the lowest in decades, to pay one nickel more in taxes? No, we can't do that, but we can cut Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, education, and every program that the children, seniors, and working families of this country depend upon.
Now, to add insult to injury in terms of this movement supported by big-money interests that have so much influence over what goes on here in Congress, it is important to look at the playing field of the American economy today to understand what is going on. Are the people on top really hurting and suffering? Are large corporations today really struggling under onerous corporate taxes? The answer is, obviously not.
We don't talk about it enough, and too few people even mention it, but I do, and I will continue. It is important today to understand that the United States has the most unequal distribution of wealth and income since the 1920s and the most unequal distribution of wealth and income of any major country on Earth. Why is that important? It is important to know that. Before we cut Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, education, and the ability of working-class kids to go to college, we have to know the condition of how people are doing today. The middle class today is shrinking and poverty is increasing. When we cut food stamps and Medicaid, we are going to hurt a whole lot of people, and in some cases very tragically.
Just last week a member of my staff went to southwest Virginia, and she spent the day at a program in which thousands of people in that area were lining up to get dental and health care because they didn't have any health insurance. There are 45,000 Americans who will die this year because they don't have health insurance and can't get to a doctor in time. There are people who say: Let's cut Medicaid. There are people all over this country who can't find a dentist. There are children who are suffering from dental decay. Let's cut Medicaid. Well, I don't think so.
If we look at the country, the middle class is shrinking, people are hurting, but people on top are doing phenomenally well. Very few people talk about it. I am going to talk about it. In the last study we have seen in terms of income distribution in this country--and that is what happened between 2009 between and 2010--93 percent of all new income created over that year went to the top 1 percent. I will say it again. Ninety-three percent of all new income in that year went to the top 1 percent. The bottom 99 percent had the privilege of sharing the remaining 7 percent. Yet, when we ask the people on top to maybe pay a little bit more in taxes, oh my goodness, there are lobbyists all over Capitol Hill saying: We can't afford to. We are down to our last $50 billion. We just can't afford another nickel in taxes. We need that money now. Thanks to Citizens United, we can pump that money into political campaigns.
One family who is worth $50 billion is going to put $400 million into the campaign. Another guy who is worth $20 billion can't pay more in taxes, but he does have hundreds of millions to pour into political campaigns.
In terms of distribution of wealth, which is a different category of costs than distribution of income, we have an incredible situation. I hope people understand what is going on in this country, where one family--one family, the Walton family, of Wal-Mart--now owns more wealth at $89 billion than the bottom 40 percent of the American people. One family owns more wealth than the bottom 40 percent. Do we know what some folks want to do here? They want to repeal the entire estate tax and give that family a very substantial tax break, because owning $89 billion is obviously not enough. They are struggling. We have to give them a tax break while we cut Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. If that makes any sense to the American people, I would be very surprised, and it does not make sense to the American people.
...My guess is if we go to New Hampshire, Maine, or any other State in America and we say to people, we have a deficit problem and the choice is between cutting Social Security or asking millionaires and billionaires to pay more in taxes, there is, in my view, no State in America--no State in this country, no matter how red it may be--where people will say: Cut Social Security and Medicare and Medicaid, but don't raise taxes on millionaires and billionaires. I don't believe that is true anyplace in America...
...There was a study that recently came out that talks about the ability of billionaires and corporations to use tax havens. What we know--and I am a member of the Budget Committee--is that millionaires and billionaires and corporations in this country are avoiding paying about $100 billion every single year by using tax havens in the Cayman Islands, in Bermuda, Panama, and other countries. Maybe, just maybe, before we cut Social Security and Medicare, we might want to pass legislation to make those people start paying their fair share in taxes and do away with those tax havens...
...I hope the American people pay rapt attention to this debate, and I hope the American people get involved in this debate, because if they do not, mark my words, within 4 months, a handful of people, supported by corporate America and the big money interests, are going to bring down to this floor a deficit reduction proposal which will cut Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and give more tax breaks to the wealthiest people in this country. It will have virtually all Republican support. It will have some Democratic support. If we don't aggressively oppose this approach, that is exactly what will happen.

BIG BIRD/CHICKEN WARS-HATE MONGERING, STOP IT!

Sorry I have not written a blog for a while. I am currently working on a project that is taking a lot of time. When it is finished I hope you will all watch and recommend it. I have had so many things I have thought about blogging about while working on this project but decided I would finish it and when finished get back to more frequent blogging. I was not going to get side tracked for anything.

That's when it happened! I tried to ignore it and did very well for 4 days but I can't any longer. It really has my tail feathers in an uproar. The war between the Muppets and Chick-Fil-A. I just want to get up close to everyone involved and scream in their/your ears "SHUT UP!!!" I have had it.

This battle is just an example as to what really is beginning to get on my nerves. I have spoken of it before.  It is the hate mongering going on by those claiming to be fighting hate mongering.  I am really sorry but I can not stand hypocrisy. It sickens me!

I raised my children to be tolerant of others. They had their disagreements among themselves.  Of course they did. But, I never allowed them to use the word hate when referring to each other.  They knew where I stood on issues. They also knew they were free to develop their own ideas, free from me hating them.  They were taught to keep an open mind. Listen to others, both sides of an issue and make up their own mind.  Now keeping my own mind open (cause I am not a hypocrite) my mind has been changed about some issues by listening to my adult children (I hate to admit this but even a bit by an x-wife). I don't always agree, but I will never stop loving and excepting that they are humans too.

It is okay not to agree with someone even as far as hating an opinion.  It is sad when that is taken to a level of hating a human being because you disagree with him/her.

Now we have the supporters of gay/lesbian marriage crying "Oh CEO of Chick-Fil-A does not agree with us so we won't eat there anymore." On the other side of things we have the anti gay/lesbian marriage crowd crying "Fine! I won't buy any Muppet movies anymore."

Where is the tolerance on either side?

I read what was said I always do before I write a blog.  In this case there is intolerance on both sides. But I must say as usual most of the hate mongering is again coming from the very ones claiming to be fighting hate mongering. Look at the comments around the net with an open mind, you will see what I mean.

I have been referring to the Big Bird/Chicken war only because it is the top topic right now.  I really am referring to it all.  "I don't like what she said. BOYCOTT HER!" Come on get real people. How many times has this really worked?

I have my favorite actors. I really love to watch them, because they are great at what they do.  Some of them in off screen real life, I strongly disagree with the way they act/talk.  But guess what I will watch the next movie they make because I enjoy it.  If I thought the acting on screen was terrible but agreed with them 100% of the time off screen, I would still not watch the next movie.

If you like the chicken EAT IT! If you like the Muppets WATCH THEM! Dog gone it! If you like liberals  BE ONE! If you like conservatives BE ONE! If you don't like either DON'T JOIN THEM! If you don't like Bill Maher' DON'T WATCH HIM! If you don't like Rush Limbaugh, DON'T LISTEN TO HIM! Just stop the hate mongering.

I don't mean to compare you to little kids.... YES I DO! That is what you sound like! "I don't like what you said so I am going to take my ball and find another ballgame."

Now you kids just settle down! I am going to sit here eating my Chick-Fil-A while watching Fraggle Rock. After that I will get back to the project from which I have been so rudely interrupted by people that don't seem to be able to GET ALONG despite disagreements.

A speech given by senator Charles Grassley a Republican from Iowa
 July 17, 2012
Words are his highlights are mine.

Mr. President, last September, President Obama responded to amnesty proponents, denying that he had authority to unilaterally grant special status to individuals who may be eligible under the DREAM Act. The DREAM Act has been around the Senate for discussion for about a decade, and in different forms. It has been voted down several times by this body--mostly because the leader won't allow for an amendment process to improve the bill; otherwise, it probably could have been worked upon. A few months ago when asked by amnesty advocates to push the bill through Executive order,President Obama said this:

This notion that somehow I can just change the laws
unilaterally is just not true. The fact of the matter is
there are laws on the books that I have to enforce. And I
think there's been a great disservice done to the cause
of getting the DREAM Act passed and getting comprehensive
immigration passed by perpetrating the notion that somehow,
by myself, I can go and do these things. It's just not true.
We live in a democracy. You have to pass bills through the
legislature, and then I can sign it.

But 1 month ago, President Obama continued his ``we can't wait'' campaign and circumvented Congress, again, to significantly change the law all by himself. On June 15, he announced that the Department of Homeland Security would lay out a process by which immigrants who have come here illegally could apply for relief and remain in the United States without the fear of deportation. So what has changed in the last 9 months, when the President of the United States said last September that he could not unilaterally grant amnesty?
Before I dive into the details of how poorly planned and implemented the directive of June 15 will be, I have to question the legal authority of the President to institute a plan of this magnitude.
I, along with 19 other Senators, sent the President a letter and asked if he consulted with attorneys prior to the June 15 announcement about his legal authority to grant deferred action and work authorizations to a specific class of immigrants who have come here illegally. It is important that we get that question answered, because last September the President said he didn't have the legal authority to do it. We asked the President if he obtained a legal opinion from the Office of Legal Counsel or anyone else within his administration. To date, we have not received any documentation that discusses any authority whatsoever that he has to undertake this massive immigration directive.
I know the Secretary of Homeland Security has discretion to determine who is put in removal proceedings. Prosecutorial discretion has been around for a long time, but it hasn't been abused to this extent. The President is claiming the Secretary will implement this directive using prosecutorial discretion. However, millions of immigrants coming here illegally will be instructed to report to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service and proactively apply. This is not being done on a case-by-case basis as they want to make it appear.
The President's directive is an affront to our system of representative government and the legislative process, and it is an inappropriate use of executive power based upon what he said last September, that he didn't have the authority to do this. The President bypassed Congress because he couldn't lead on immigration reform, and he couldn't work in a bipartisan manner on an issue that involves undocumented young people.
The President's directive runs contrary to the principle that American workers must come before foreign nationals. His policies only increase competition for American students and workers who struggle to find employment in today's economy. And that unemployment is 8.2 percent official, 11 or 12 percent unofficial.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the unemployment rate among the age group 16 to 24 has been nearly 17 percent for the last year. According to a Gallup poll conducted in April of this year, 32 percent of the 18-to-29-year-olds in the U.S. workforce, if not unemployed, are underemployed. The President's plan to get people back to work is to grant immigrants who come here illegally a work authorization. He must be seriously out of touch if he doesn't think there is competition already for American workers.
Now I wish to talk about how poorly this directive has been thought out. This is the implementation of a directive the President said he didn't have the authority to do in the first place. But if you are going to have an illegal directive, you ought to at least know it will work. It is my understanding the White House informed Homeland Security officials of this plan just days before it was announced on June 15. They were unprepared, and have since been scrambling to figure out how it will be carried out.
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service--the agency in charge of all immigration benefits, including work authorizations, visa applications, asylum petitions, and employment verifications for employers--will be the agency tasked with handling millions of new applications for deferred status and work permits. Agents in the field are confused as to how to do their jobs and fear retaliation if they don't do the right thing. So in essence, this White House is telling agents in the field to begin a practice called catch and release.
Last Friday, Homeland Security officials briefed the Judiciary Committee on the directive. Staff of the Judiciary Committee were told that agents of the agency would be required to release immigrants who come here illegally if they fell into the criteria laid out. But what are the ramifications if an agent does not release them but instead uses his discretion to say the person was not eligible and puts them in removal proceedings?
You will be astounded by the answer we got, because the Department of Homeland Security explained that such an agent would be subject to disciplinary action--disciplinary action if you are doing what your job is required to do. The agent's actions would be considered during their annual personnel review.
So there will be no discretion for agents, and they will be forced to give deferred action to anyone who comes close to the criteria laid out, even despite their hesitation to do so, or face retaliation from bureaucratic higher-ups.
It is as though Homeland Security forgot their mission which is:

To ensure a homeland that is safe, secure, and resilient
against terrorism and other hazards where American interests,
aspirations, and way of life can thrive.

Once we overcome the question of legal authority and the reality that there was little thinking put into this plan before it was announced on June 15, we are left to oversee the details of the implementation plan. Homeland Security officials say they will have a process laid out by August 15. We have very little details, but Homeland Security officials did give some insight on Friday in this briefing to members of the Judiciary Committee staff. Here is what we learned.
We know people under the age of 30, who entered before their 16th birthday, have been here for at least 5 years, and are currently in school may qualify for deferred action. We know there are caveats to the criteria. Some criminal offenses will be OK, and young people can finish their education after they are granted deferred action.
We know individuals with final orders of removal will be eligible for deferred action. We know these people will not have to appear for an in-person interview to benefit from this directive of the President of June 15. We know they will be granted this special status for 2 years, and those who are denied will not be put into removal proceedings. We know this is not aimed at helping just youth since the age limit is 30. So who are we going to help over age 30, because we thought from the President's announcement, if people are over 30 years of age nobody is going to benefit. We know people under the age of 30 are not the only people going to be considered for relief. Secretary Napolitano said so herself. She told CNN's Wolf Blitzer the following:

We have internally set it up so that the parents are not
referred for immigration enforcement if the young
person comes in for deferred action

I was not born yesterday. This administration is not going to give a benefit to immigrants here illegally and then force his or her parents to leave the country, which begs the question, What will they do if the young people are eligible and receive deferred action, but the parent is a criminal, a gang member, or a sex offender?
Because this program has not been well thought out and because it is being rushed to benefit people by the end of the year, there is no doubt that fraud will be a problem. How will Federal officials who process the applications ensure that information provided by the individual is accurate? How will they verify that one truly entered the country before the age of 16 or is currently under the age of 30?
Homeland Security officials act as though they are prepared to handle the influx of counterfeit documents that will be presented. The department officials are going to rely on their small fraud detection unit--who already happen to be very busy working every day on other types of immigration benefits--to determine if people are truly eligible. What will be the consequences for individuals who intentionally defraud the government? They need a fraud and abuse prevention plan. Without one they will likely legalize every single immigrant who came here illegally, who is already on U.S. soil.
The administration will announce more details about this plan in the next few weeks. I am anxious to see if they plan to only provide deferred action to this population. Department officials refuse to elaborate on whether some of these individuals will be able to get advanced parole. That is a special status that allows an immigrant coming here illegally to adjust to permanent residence and then gain citizenship. This administration wants people to believe this is not amnesty and that these people will not have lawful status, but I am watching to see if they try to pull the wool over our eyes and provide a status that allows these people to adjust and remain here permanently.
Finally, a major flaw in the President's plan is how this is going to be paid for. A massive amnesty program is going to cost a lot of money. So what are the taxpayers going to have to cough up out of their hard- earned dollars to pay for it? Department officials said on Friday that illegal immigrants may not be charged for their special status. The individual would be charged $380 if they choose to apply for a work authorization. They could not assure us that funding would not be redirected from other programs to this initiative.
To reprogram funds within the Department, the Secretary must notify and gain consent of the majority and minority leaders on the Appropriations Committee. However, when pressed, Department officials could not assure us that they would not bypass the longstanding process and reprogram dollars on their own. The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service will be forced to concentrate on this program, leaving employers, foreign workers, and legal immigrants without the service they need to work, visit, or remain in the United States.
If the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service adjudication staff will be diverted from their normal duties to handle the millions of potential deferred action applications, this can only have a devastating impact on other programs within the Department. I fear this plan will bankrupt the agency that oversees immigration benefits and affect all legal immigration for years to come.
I fear the President has overstepped his authority again. The President, time and again, has shown no leadership or refused to work with Congress on issues that directly impact the American people. And when it comes to the immigration issue he promised the people in the 2008 election, that in his first year in office he would have an immigration bill before Congress, he has not even presented an immigration bill yet. He insisted he was coming here to change Washington, but he changed it for the worse. He insisted he was going to make this the most transparent administration ever, but Congress and the American people are left in the dark.
No matter where one stands on immigration, we should all be appalled at how this plan has been carried out. Whether it is legal or illegal is one thing. But when it is not thoroughly thought out, how it is going to be implemented, that is not how the chief executive of a major operation such as the U.S. Government ought to be acting.
We should all be concerned that our votes are rendered meaningless as a result of the assumption of power on June 15 that the President said last September he did not have. Until we can end this plan, I encourage my colleagues to watch over its implementation for the future of our country. The integrity of our whole immigration system is hanging in the balance.
This immigration system is very important because the United States has opened doors for more people than any other country in the world to come here legally. About 1 million people come here legally. So we are a welcoming nation. We are a nation built upon immigrants bringing new ideas to this country, making this a very not only colorful country but a dynamic society. We ought to leave it that way. But this change to our immigration system for people to come here legally jeopardizes a lot of people who want to abide by our laws and come here and make our country even richer.
I yield the floor.

Sheriff Joe's Conference

I listened to the whole conference. I was disappointed. I did not hear anything I had not heard before (IT IS FAKE).  I also was extremely disappointed in the reporter that local channel five  sent to report on this conference. He must not have known why he was there.  His questions were off subject.  He missed an opportunity. If he thought the sheriff was "full of it", he should have questioned the findings.  This conference as failed as it was, was to be about the birth certificate.  None of Morgan Loew's questions pertained to the subject.  He seemed lost.  He kept trying to change the subject.  He asked no questions about the findings of the sheriff, other than why should we believe the sheriff.  Unless you watched the conference live, you will not see this.  If you watch the report on channel five I'm sure it'll be chopped up to make him look good.  Sad, sad performance by Morgan Loew.  No new evidence from the sheriff.  Long story short, if you missed the conference, you missed nothing good.

Here is a link if you would like to view the conference.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=DzI4A3jCIlE

Don't Label Me Liberal

I may be labeled a liberal. First let me make it clear I do not support Obama Care as written. I do however support a lot of the "entitlement programs". Including more that don't exist. Is it wrong of me not to want to see a single person thrown out into the streets due to having hit a low point in their life? Is it wrong of me to not want to see anyone that needs medical care not get it? Is it wrong of me not to want to see anyone go hungry? I am not just talking about the children. I am talking about everyone. Even the able bodied young person.

It can happen to anyone. You are working one day and suddenly, no job. No, not everyone automatically qualifies for unemployment. Sometimes they don't at all sometimes it takes time to get it. In the mean time there is still a need to pay the bills and eat. Try being late on a utility bill. If it gets disconnected guess what more fees to turn it back on plus a deposit. Where will that extra money come from? You think they could plead with the utility company and get the extra cost erased? Think again. Try getting a job having been evicted and now you have no home address. Not as easy as you may think.

I know you fortunate out there are saying "ooooooh poor babies, get a job! That just goes to show how ignorant, spoiled and selfish you are. Even if a young able bodied person leaves the job they have lost and hits the pavement that very same day. Jobs are not easy to come by (or have you not been reading the news). Wait I know you have because I hear you blaming Obama for the unemployment. This is strange since I also hear you calling the jobless lazy.

But back on subject. I think there needs to be a safety net in place for everyone that does not qualify for any other program and if able to, is seeking work. I also believe at the same time there needs to be a better transitional program in place to help those who have recently lost a job. As in receiving cash benefits while in a structured employment search or training program. Now I would agree that those who have been collecting unemployment for more than a year (sorry guys) are either being too picky or are not looking at all. Then I agree with you and say they need to get off their butts. So, I also believe there should be a time limit for how long anyone can collect benefits if they are able to work. Then you pompous ignoramuses can throw them out into the streets.

I believe as human beings the nature we have within us should urge us all to help others in need. If you are one of those that say don't raise my taxes to help those lazy good for nothings. I believe that train of thought runs along the lines of survival of the fittest and in humans this teaching is indorsed by the satanic churches. So Christians with this attitude... hmmmm you are in good company.

Are you even aware that in most places there is no help for adults without children to receive any type of benefits? Even disabled cannot receive cash benefits in most places (hang in there we will get to social security soon). There are many women out there having children and for one reason, they are rewarded for it. They get to collect the money as soon as they are pregnant that could have been spent to help them look for work. Now since they have a child (or more) it makes it more difficult and more expensive to work. Chances are at minimum wage they will pay more to child care than they take home. So what has been accomplished. Now in this example had there been some type of program in place to help her get a jump start, maybe she would have chosen a different route than having a child.

Now some of you are confused that read my blogs. I usually seem so anti Obama and conservative. Well I don't care for a lot of his policies. I think he among dishonest politicians is the most dishonest. But that does not mean I never agree with him.

There seems to be a class warfare going on in politics. I hear two classes every day on the news. There are the rich and there are the middle class. Well guess what there is a third class that I have recently joined. We are the poor and we are humans too. Most of us hard working. But we were not as fortunate as you to have had the ability to go to college. We could not get the high paying jobs. But we are here, don't turn a blind eye on us and think we don't vote. To us the middle class are rich. You cry like babies because you don't have enough money to make payments on your new car or boat. You might not have enough to make the mortgage payment on the house you bought, that is way more than you needed. But you have to have the best. Heaven forbid, you might not have enough money to go to Disneyland this year. Raise your taxes? Goodness no!

Now this blog gets personal. I will make public what I normally speak to close family members only. About 2yrs ago here in Arizona I was working and making pretty good money for my skills. I keep up on the news always have. The big topic going around was the deficit. Cuts were going to have to come to medical programs for adults. If not taxes were going to have to be raised. "NO! DON"T RAISE OUR TAXES!" The majority of middle class and rich cried. I looked at the figures and found the average tax increase would be just over $100 a year. "Take it" I thought. "Help these people out. They too are humans and need medical treatment." I already was giving more than that to a fund at work to help those in need. I could not believe such a fuss was being made over such a small amount. Guess what, taxes were not raised and the needed programs were removed.

Little did I know soon I would be on the other side of it. About a year later a condition I had been suffering through got worse(and keeps getting worse) I ended up in the hospital and could no longer perform my duties at work. I had to quit my job I had held for 11 years due to health. The end of April 2011 was the last few hours of work I had put in. Leading up to that time in the final couple of months I had only been able to work sporadically. I was disabled unable to work.

I hoped to get better and would have grabbed the first job I could find. I have not gotten better. I used up all the money I had and emptied my 401k I sold everything of value I had including my car (I am not allowed to drive anyway). The money was gone. How was I going to pay bills now?

In July 2011, I applied for disability social security. Which by the way is not an entitlement program. It is basically a government run insurance/retirement program, that we are forced to buy into. Over the next several months more and more paperwork was requested and provided. Around February of this year after have heard nothing for a while, I called social security to find out the status. After giving the rude man on the other end of the phone all my information, there was a pause. Then came the question that said it all "Did you apply using your own social security number?" They had lost all records of me. I told him I had my case number, application number, and copies of all the paperwork turned in along with the requests. He wanted nothing to do with it and I would need to start the process over. I have started the process over again.

Nothing received as of yet. For 15 months now I have not worked. After the money and assets were gone I began living on borrowed money. Some in my situation have no valuable assets, no 401k, one to borrow from. Now those I have been borrowing from are getting tapped out.  We are almost at mid month and I don't know how bills will be paid. I am independent. I don't like to be dependent on others.  Yet here I am both health wise and financially.  The good news is I never bought a great house I could not afford. You can call me trailer trash. I live in a double wide I picked up 10 years ago for about $3500 and fixed it up. So my lot rent and utilities are all I worry about. I think of myself as fortunate compared to some. Where is the safety net for those that for reasons similar to mine end up in situations similar to mine?    Still afraid someone might get a free ride? Then make it a program that requires repayment when they go back to work. Would that make you happy? I could live with that.

I am not talking socialism. I am talking compassion. If it makes me liberal to love and care about others even though in just about every other case I am conservative than I will wear the label proudly because as God leads the example, I love and care about all.

Note: Due to the removal of ads from my blogs (my blogs are too "controversial"). I have added a donation button at the top of the page. It is embarrassing to say this but please use it. Thanks as always for reading my blogs. Remember just because you don't like one of my blogs, don't stop reading. You more than likely will like the next.

What New Evidence Can Sheriff Joe Have

With Sheriff Joe Arpaio set to release  "breathtaking/shocking" revelations about Obama's birth certificate on July 17th, I have to wonder what more could he have learned? Have we not heard it all by now? I mean even Obama lovers have to face it, the dog gone birth certificate is fake. The debate is over. It does not matter if you believe President Obama was born in the USA or not. There is no doubt the birth certificate presented by the white house is a fake. There is no longer any doubt remaining.

Even Obama's own lawyers admitted it, in a New Jersey court case brought by the Tea Party questioning Obama's eligibility to be on the primary ballot. It was even argued that since it was a forgery it could not be used as evidence. It was not even a good forgery. I will not go into the evidence. I strive to keep these blogs short and rely on you to look for the facts. I have however decided I will begin to include links for you to look into. I read and watch many articles and videos on the subjects I choose, so I will provide only some. which also are usually linked to more. Here are some pertaining to the forgery and lawyers. (Side note to the sheriff: If you have new evidence now, why wait until the 17th?)

LAWYERS ADMIT (text)

FORGER FOUND?  (7/17) (text)

EVIDENCE OF FORGERY (video)

So now that we know that the certificate was indeed a forgery, was he or was he not born in Kenya, was he or was he not born in Hawaii?  Michelle Obama let it out during a speech that she considers his home country as Kenya. If she thinks this way it would only make sense that he does also. Who else says he was born in Kenya?  To name just a couple of important people that should know (you can find many more). Check out the links below and add his grandmother and Kenya's Ambassador.

Michelle Obama says his home country is Kenya. (video)

Kenya's Ambassador  says he was born in Kenya.  (text with video)

His grandmother says he was born in Kenya (1st link text, 2nd video)

While you are at it read this article that appeared in the East African Standard on Sunday June 27, 2004 as he was ready to take a seat in the US Senate.  (text)

While I am presenting all this evidence as far as his birth certificate and birthplace let's touch on a couple of more things that he may not have been up front about. Such as was his:

Selective Service Registration also faked?  (video)

His social security number is also faked?

Who is Harrison J. Bounel who shares his SSN#?  (video)

Now having brought your attention to these things, don't label me. I don't know where he was born. He very well could have been born in Hawaii or Egypt for all I know. My only aim is to get you thinking and decide for yourself having viewed the evidence.  I could go on and on about Obama the "possible fake" but clicking on these links alone is going to keep you very busy. I do however have a closing question for you. If our great president has nothing to hide then why is he hiding everything?

Note: I warned you in my "Censored" blog that I was about to get very controversial. All adds were pulled from my blog, due to what I considered slightly controversial. I have also since been turned down by another sponsor for the same reason. I have nothing to lose now. Look out here it comes!

This Blog Has Been Censored

↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑
EASY TO READ VERSION

This Blog Has Been Censored

Hard to believe? Believe it! I am not the first small blogger this has happened to there are many (research it). It is hard to censor the larger media even though it is happening. Even though some honestly want to report the news in it's full truth. Information is being funneled to them through filters. Witnesses hidden in the shadows of dramatic witnesses that have "more information". Yes more of the "information" they want you to hear. But even with the large news media pretty much under control by placements in and out of the business of news, another problem has arisen, THE INTERNET. The truth is always out there. You just have to look for it.

Because of the situation with my health, I am unable to do many things but I have times when I get clear enough to focus on reading and writing. Sometimes it is only enough to quick put down a piece of something to write more on later. Sometimes it is enough to read my back email. Sometimes it is enough to actually do some research into a subject I have been wondering about. The point is I do it whenever possible. I look for the truth.

Now, at this point you are probably laughing to yourself. "Mike has really lost it this time. Why would they bother with his blog?"  Let me tell you a few short days ago I would have laughed along with you.

But, I am not laughing now.  I really have not said much in my blogs (just enough to raise some flags). I have held back partly because I know many are wearing the blinders that keep you thinking along the lines they want you to think. Partly because I did not want to believe what I was seeing. Even though there is undeniable proof. Did you know that the internet is continually being searched for key words and phrases that warrant further investigation?

Now maybe some of you are thinking "Okay, but even if I was to buy into the idea they may be worried about the direction your blogs may take, there is still the numbers thing." Yes to the numbers. I have an extremely small number of people reading my blog. What maybe 10 reading on a regular basis. My record day of hits I believe was 49. Over the young life of my blog I have only received at last check, 591 total hits. However it has been steadily growing. And this may surprise you, (it did me) I have received hits not only from all over the USA including the great state of Alaska but also hits from Egypt, Israel, Russia, Slovakia, France, Germany and Malaysia. Here is the kicker though. I tried something new within a day of the censorship that I hoped and maybe they feared would bring in more readers to my blog. I uploaded a video to youtube. If you have not seen it then shame on you. (LOL) But you still have a chance. It is called "A Dying Man's Regrets".

But the number is so small. Not by my wishes I want to reach many more(I need your help).  Why bother? That is the question I asked myself as I was ready to throw in the towel. "It is hard enough for me to do this with my health.  Is it just a waste of time anyway? Nobody reads it. It is difficult just getting friends and family to read it."  These were just a few of the things going through my mind. Then it hit me. I was a weed in their garden. When is a weed hardest to remove? When it has grown and spread out. So you want to get it when it is just beginning. When it is small enough to easily kill.  Now, they don't want to just remove my blog, then the word censorship could be used and the 5 of you still reading this far would tell 5 others that would tell 5 more and pretty soon it becomes a big story and questions would be asked and the blog put back on either here or someplace else, in the mean time I would get the publicity along with my blogs. Get the point.  There are other ways to censor and this is what has happened to me. The sad thing is they almost won.

They caught me at a good time and almost created the perfect storm. Already having difficulties doing something that would take any of you 5-10 min, that I have to put all my focus and energy into and still takes me days to do. Then to have the low numbers of readers and I am pretty sure only one subscriber. With the added on blast from them, I was done. "Who cares?  I will just throw my balloon to the porcupines." Then I snapped out of it. DOG GONE IT! This is who I am! Besides my family and faithful friends, this is all I have. I can't even concentrate on an hour long TV show from beginning to end. Even up to this point writing this has taken 5 sits. I can't focus for long periods of time and have to take breaks. But this is it folks, this is what I have and it won't be taken away.

Okay so 1 or 2 of you are still reading. Good thanks. Some are thinking I have gone to the extreme end of conspiracies. (wait until you see what I write in the future) How exactly have I been censored?  I wish I could give details and in a weeks time I will be able to. Right now I am in talks with them (sounds official does it not) I worded it that way just cause it sounds cool. It is really a one sided talk where they read my points then decide whether or not to continue with their actions. Within a week they tell me I will receive a decision.

Now I said I could not give you details and I won't. However as a reward for following this blog this far I will give you a hint that you can't miss. Remember though you are adding 2+2 to get 4. I am not telling you. (hee hee)

Rush Limbaugh, that would be a great clue in itself but I will take it even further. Like him, hate him or love him does not matter. Rush is very out spoken and some would even say radical. There are those that hate him or I'll be nice and say don't hate him just everything that comes out of his mouth whether they heard it or not, so much they want him censored in anyway possible. I will be careful not to go into another blog here (too easy)  So back on track, there is a wing of Rush haters that I see all the time on the net calling for boycotts of any advertisers of his show. Side note to any of my well meaning friends that are in this group, it won't work. It has been tried for years now. Like it or not he is on the air until our freedom of speech is gone or he decides to retire. (kk freedom of speech blog on it's way lol) Now with this little blip notice anything missing from my blogs?

Now you can take this blog with a grain of salt. Laugh it off, whatever. You have your own brain and I just want you thinking. That is the whole purpose of all my blogs to get you the reader thinking. Follow them share them. Many new blogs will follow. As long as I can type a letter or speak a word for someone else to type, I will keep blogging.  Some blogs will be heart warming stories some will be controversial, but they will keep coming. Maybe the missing piece will be back on my blog within a week (maybe to be pulled again) maybe it won't. This blog alone may be the straw that breaks the camel's back, that piece may never be back. My blog is here to stay. (note to self: now just to get some readers)

A Dying Man's Regrets

The word quickly spread of the terminal illness of a man well known in the community. A young man, maybe a bit more curious than most, just had to ask the dying man. "How does it feel to know you are dying?'

"Do you mean would I have rather died suddenly like my father? Not knowing, gone in an instant. Or am I glad I am dying knowing the day is just over the horizon? I can't answer that."

"Well" the young man continued with another question. "Are you satisfied with the man you are?"

"I am who I am because of the choices I have made. The things I have seen and felt. The actions I have taken. I am who I am." the man said emotionless.

"Then you have no regrets?" With this question the young man saw tears well up in the dying man's eyes.

There was a pause. Then the dying man now with tears visibly slipping from his eyes and rolling down his cheeks, looked toward the ground and replied.

" I regret ever having witnessed a tear of sorrow.

I regret every single tear I ever brought to another.

I regret any word I have ever spoken to another in anger.

I regret any pain I ever inflicted on another.

I regret anyone in need I ever passed by, without stopping to see if I could help.

I regret living in a world where immorality has become an acceptable way of life.

I regret living in a world where people are proud to encourage hate in others, against those they accuse of  encouraging hate.

I regret living in a world where people think only of themselves and what is in it for them rather than what is good for all.

I  regret living in a world where religion has become a bad word.

I regret living in a world where most churches have stopped loving, helping and encouraging those down and out. In a world where it is more common for them to spew hate out of their mouths, judging and calling the unfortunate and disabled lazy and good for nothing. Not bothering to ask the situation and not caring.

I regret living in a world where many churches have become exclusive clubs where sinners and homeless need not enter. Where in many cases the preacher is the highest paid person in the room and begs for more.

I regret living in a world of  my god is better than your god and I'll kill you to prove it.

I regret living in a world where the government is willing to lie, trick and bribe to get a bill past that harms the people it was put in place to protect.

I regret living in a world where people are judged or excused due to race, religion or color of their skin.

I regret living in a world where it is good economics to start a war.

I regret not having made an effort to change these things when I had the chance.

I remember when I was a child, someone told me as the rain poured from the sky, that it was God's tears for those who no longer listened. As a child I laughed. Now it does not seem so funny it almost seems...."  He stopped talking mid sentence, wiped his tears and looked away.

The young man could ask no more questions and walked away, thinking of what he had just heard.

A few months later at the man's funeral where many had gathered to say goodbye, the young man got up and shared the conversation. He than looked to the sky and said "You made a difference in me my friend. I will never be the same. I with the help of those gathered here today will make a difference." He looked back at the crowd who all just looked toward the ground.

"Regrets, sure I have regrets."

The Race Card The Joker In The Deck

Please stay with me while I give a little background to this blog. The first paragraph below is not the blog, even though it may seem like it. It is however, a mini blog within a blog used as an intro.

Probably missed by a lot of you during all the discussion about the ruling on the Obama Care were the votes on whether or not to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt. Holder was ordered to turn over documents pertaining to the Fast and Furious blunder. He has made one excuse after another and to this day has refused to turn over many documents. You or I would have been sitting behind bars long ago. There were two votes one in the criminal case and one in the civil case. In the criminal case the vote to hold him in contempt was 255-67 with 17 democrats voting with the Republicans to hold him in contempt. In the civil case the vote was 258-95. 21 Democrats voting with the Republicans. Before the votes 85 COWARDS walked out claiming it was in protest. I happen to believe that a few started it and many joined, very happy because they would have voted against their party in favor of the contempt charges. BECAUSE THE MAN IS GUILTY. Regardless of which way they would have voted, they ran in the face of battle instead of casting a vote.

Okay, here it comes. Many of you might not know. Because in your eyes every man is created equal regardless of skin color. Holder is the first African American Attorney General.

So it was bound to happen the card was played, THE RACE CARD.  Representative Frederica Wilson a democrat from Florida was one. "It's about racism." she cried. NO! Rep. Wilson, regardless of his skin color, THE MAN IS GUILTY!  We the citizens of the United States of America deserve the truth!  As Representative Paul Gosar from Arizona put it. “Throughout our nation and specifically in Arizona, folks from all political parties and all races are now living in danger of grave violence due to actions of this administration, I am convinced that holding the attorney general in contempt is the only way to send a strong message to this administration and future ones that no one is above the law.”

The race card is like the joker of the deck. Most of us remove them before starting and rules are what matters, not skin color. But there are others that like to sneak them back in the deck and when they are losing by the rules they pull the card out and scream RACISM. Many try to take people down that they disagree with and are losing the intellectual battle, by twisting and taking words out of context to make non-racist people look racist. Why do they do this? Because they know the vast majority of us are not racists and hate the act of racism.

Do I believe there is no racism in America today? No, I do not and it saddens me. But I will tell you what makes me madder than a fox taken prisoner in a hen house. That is when people like Frederica Wilson, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, just to name a few, keep it alive by pumping into the veins of racism the blood of hate. Why wouldn't they? That is how Jesse and Al make their money. Which one of you enjoys the life they live. All through the donations of suckers. They sit at home relaxing with a beverage watching TV hoping to spot something involving a "minority". Something they can twist and mold like Play-Dough into something it is not. Than they march and scream racism. They bring attention to themselves and of course more donations and paid appearances follow. Al and Jesse both call themselves Reverends. Reverends of what? I want to know. They do not teach the love that Jesus taught. The unity taught by Jesus. No! I offer to you that they are the teachers and pushers of hate, helping to keep racism alive.

Am I against people speaking up when there is a true act of racism? No, I am not. I applaud those that truly want equality for all. I dislike those that create the illusion of racism where it does not exist. The same that ignore it if racism is reversed against the white. I support people being charged with hate crimes. But Lady Justice must be blindfolded. It must work for all in an equal manner.

One day in Army basic training I was sitting talking with one of my army buddies. He stopped talking about whatever the subject was that we were discussing and said to me, "You know you're kind of cool. I am glad I met you here. Back where I come from, if you had shown up, you would probably been knifed just cause your white." I think both our eyes were open during that time. I think that is when it hit home to me that racism strikes from all directions and needs to be stopped from all sides. I think he realized that all whites were not evil minority hating monsters that some want them to believe. We are all human and created equal. It is what we allow to grow within us that makes us who we are.

It is time for the hate mongering to stop. It is time to stop twisting words and ideas. It is time to stop pushing racism and begin looking together at the real issues. I am white (as you may have guessed) if I go out today and get a dark tan, does that change who I am on the inside? Nope, I will still be the same crazy Mike.

It is time to remove once and for all the jokers from the deck. Play by the rules. If true racism occurs, lets call it for what it is and put an end to it. Let's also stop the false charges of racism that only seek to twist it in for a vote or the almighty buck.

I will leave you with these words from a great and wise man (skin color does not matter).

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal."
